People often ask where they can see my film THE EDGWARE WALKER about a local eccentric famed for walking the streets and about whom many urban myths existed. It’s now available for subscribers to watch here. This is the first thing I ever made for TV. In the years since I’ve had my own show and been nominated for an Oscar for my writing on Borat 2, but THE EDGWARE WALKER is infinitely more special to me. At the time Louis Theroux wrote: “Lee’s films aren’t documentary in the usual sense. They are something unto themselves. Zesty, playful and with heart.” Since making this film I’ve received messages from people not just from Edgware, who are energised by the significance that local characters have in their own communities. I hope you enjoy this film and please alert anyone else interested.
